Goals of the Friends of Boggs Mountain

To enhance the visitor's experience to Boggs Mountain |

Maintain and improve trails where needed |
|
Improve and increase signage along the forest trails |
|
Develop and maintain self-guided interpretive nature trails |
|
Establish trail rules of etiquette for various users |
|
Install ADA compliant/friendly interpretive trail and facilities |
|
Develop an Interpretive and Educational Center |
|
Develop a docent program to give tours of the forest |
|
Write and distribute informational brochures and pamphlets, including maps, history, and demonstration forest literature
|
|
The Friends of Boggs Mountain works closely with the State Forest staff to improve each visitor's experience |
|
Provide a members newsletter/email |
|
Manage all new events applied for by groups wanting the use of the forest for specialized activities such as mountain biking races, horse events, etc. |
